Periods 4-8

We will begin our unit on Fairytales, Folktales, and myths. We begin this unit with a comparison of Cinderella stories. How many different Cinderella stories can you think of? What is the binding central theme in all of these different stories?  We will read Aschenputtel on p. 593. Vocabulary words for the story are listed below and can be found in your literature book.

This week we will have vocabulary quiz on Friday, April 25th. You will have plenty of time in class to work on the words from the story in order to prepare for the quiz.  Monday will a CRCT make up day for anyone who might have missed the test. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be CRCT testing for math, science, and social studies. The days that I see your class period we will continue with Cinderella stories.  In the following weeks I will be collecting your literature books , please make sure that you have YOUR Literature book and not another student’s book.  And yes we will be continuing with DGP this week.
